Nah...

"The majority is always right." is a comment that needs to be told to people who don't understand democracy.

When the good people at Bennalong got rid of the Workchoices sock puppet they made the right decision.

Aye but there's the rub - democracy can be understood and corrupted by pollies - and even if they don't the vast majority of the citizenry are basically intellectually lazy - they want some media personality to tell them what to think - and how.

The upshot of this slothful non- thinking is that moderation via a vast array of thinking (democracy) has been neutered by limited PC views embraced by the lazy in lieu of their very own, informed, judgement.

Oh dear how sad, never mind, these degenerate trends will bring their own - predictable consequences - in their own good time.

No argument there. Although IMO the free flow of instant information is useful for removing the myopic views of yesteryear.

People already seem to agree the system corrupts (or is corrupted by) pollies - so arguably votes can be governed by more than just personalities and facebook ?

That's in addition to the attributes that wake up people who might have been previously intellectually lazy... taxes, power security, job security, lawn order, cost of living, health, education, international relations etc.

Does economic reality finally drive sense into folks ?

Personally I think we live in a freer world than we did last century despite all the white noise that comes with it.

Happy new year Smile

No safer in Sydney Peter.

Why else would they block the roads with trucks?

Murders on an almost daily basis but not reported by the media anymore because to them it's boring.

I was in Melbourne last week and still find it better although those tall skinny towers in Elizabeth St are distorting the skyline a bit.

I reckon they need a 500m observation tower to redefine the centre of the city from the 250m undergrowth.

Weather wise - it beats the North every time (for me anyway).

Heh Heh half the media including our very own ABC are wooping up some BS book in the US about Trump - but 228000 people got a job in December!

There is a real world after all!!

This is not only good news for the newly hired - this are is a significant bonus for the world - including our own - economy.

NBN costs slightly more than ADSL in most cases. But since we have no choice, good or bad doesn't matter.

If you're happy with cellular, stick with it.

Oh I was just going to whinge about NBN.

We got a call from Telestra some time ago and they gave us the push on getting NBN because the government was going to get everyone to sign up by a set date so off we went

3 months into it we have problems with it ever since cutting on and off again and when it does you cant use the home phone because its contacted.

several times a day it cuts on and off again.

The only excuse we get is doing up grades to the line!!!

I'd call BS on their "fixing the line" excuse. There's a fault with your installation I reckon.

Does your computer and phone run straight into the NBN box or are you using a separate modem?

Oh hey guys

well our internet got fixed took 4 months and 2 email complaints to the telecommunications ombudsman and and a number of phone calls.

It turned out to be an external problem that there was corrosion in the lines or extensions

But the process we had to go through in order for someone to come check it out and fix it was so ridicules.

Idiots!!!!

Guess what the magic word Muslim was not written once.

Perhaps that's because we don't want to hurt his feelings.

Well for sure he was not a Jew or Christian or Buddist or...

Last time I checked... our troops were not occupying Jewish, Christian or Buddist lands Smile

Yeah well... let's hope the great Andrew Bolt has the guts to inform us that terrorism is the unintended consequence of invading some foreign land on the other side of the planet.

Sooner or later you find someone who will fight back. It will never end.

Hi Peter.

Everything you've said about being a sympathiser is BS for starters.

Broken Hill aside we had no Islamic terror attacks in this country prior to our involvement in the so called war on terror. So there's no connection between attacks since then and their policy of purging infidels

My theory stands - we've been a terrorist target since we followed a Texan redne
ck God botherer into an unwinnable war based on faulty intel + the want for oily rags and we are now paying for it with our freedom.

Well Done Con†servatives - evil people - especially the religious right with their perilous pursuits Smile

If Donald Trump had his way - that scum of the earth would've had a gun.

What part of "Kill as many as possible" don't you get?
I get the part that you don't get. They are inspired by ISIS to "Kill as many as possible"

They want to "Kill as many as possible" for one reason. You are avoiding that reason.

ISIS only exists because we invaded Iraq. What part of that don't you get?

Ah BS!

They hate every single one of us.

ISIS is the killing machine.

Hi Peter, perhaps do some research on ISIS and how it got its power...

then you'll know exactly what sort of BS you're posting Smile

Here you go mate...

Kabul suicide bombing kills more than 50 gathered to celebrate Prophet Mohammed's birth

Infidels??? Nup. Aligned with the west? Yep.

Hi Peter

No I don't think ScMo apologising for invading will stop anything. Warfare doesn't work that way.

Maybe ScoMo should apologise for his disparaging remarks by lumping the entire Muslim community with ISIS scum.

I could just as easily link the entire Christian community with war crimes as I could link every Catholic with pedo scum.

Same as you wanna link ABC followers with egging on ISIS inspired murder. You call that truth? Fark me... :LMAO:

But OK, since you want to run with that I'll go with the theory that Andrew Bolt is indirectly responsible for every such murder since 9/11 simply because he is stupid enough to support some muppet PM who wants to aggravate the situation with cheap insults at a religion he knows nothing about.

Obviously Bolt is a useful idiot too Smile
