I have just moved to Melbourne and looking for a house in Eastern suburbs. Don't know anyone at all or anywhere interesting to visit, besides the zoo.

I am mid 30's, married with one teenage son and interested in places we can visit as a family in Melbourne that may we of interest. any recommendations from locals?

Any recommendations re location to purchase good vegetables and fish?

For veggies you could try the Dandenong markets.

For a family day out you could try visiting the penguin parade (and seal rocks) at Phillip Island <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

I recommend vegetables and fish from the Queen Vic Market. I am off there tomorrow. It is an event in itself. Make sure you get a bratwurst at end of it for lunch.
